THE ARTIST
Krystal works out of Minneapolis and, when not painting, can be found sipping coffee with confidants, reading and writing, wandering her favorite museums, and having fun with UI styling in her dayjob as a Senior Software Engineer.
THE ART
Earlier portraits focused on capturing facial likeness, while more recent work—bolstered by the addition of slow-drying paints and additives to the artist's acrylic palette—ventures away from such classical sitting depiction and into more vulnerable explorations of mood, texture, storytelling, and surreality.
